Monday – What a cool day! Mom let us out for a while and Ever opened the gate, we got to go over to the chickens and see them! How cool is that! Mom was not too happy with us when she found out! She herded us back into our pens and then put us away again. We all love to bark at and chase those chickens! Ever more than the rest of us! He is obsessed with the birds. I guess Mom is mad at him because he got one in his mouth and she said it died. She has not spoken to us since. The two children Ever and I have left at home are bad tattle tales! They told on us and get got caught because of that and Mom says all the barking right under her window, but those two kids should not have tried to bother Mom when the rest of us were outside the fence! When she is feeling up to typing for me tomorrow, I will go over the story of the baby chick I stole!

Tuesday – Well, Mom was pretty mad about yesterday, we all stayed in our pens all day today. She said it was raining, but I think she was still mad at us for getting out and especially at Ever for killing a chicken. I remember when they were little tiny babies and I managed to pull one through the bars of the pen they were in. It was fun taking out outside and being chased by Dad! The darn little thing would not stay still when I set it down. Instead, it kept trying to fly off on its downy little yellow feathers. Mom was pretty mad back then too, but I did not kill it so she just kept us away from the little birds for the next month or so. Now they are right across the yard from us and boy is it tempting to try to steal one through the fence again!

Wednesday – Mom is not feeling too well today. She let us out for a bit and then went back to bed without any of us. I hate dates when she sleeps most of the day! We did notice that Ever can’t get the gate open anymore so we can be free! The latch won’t go up like it did that one time. Not sure what Mom did to it yesterday, but she fixed it good. Now Ever is trying to push his way out at the bottom of the gate instead. He had made some progress, but we can only get our heads through so far.

Thursday – Wow! Dad was home most of the day. He went somewhere with Mom in the morning, but then we got to go outside all afternoon, but Ever noticed that someone had worked on the gate and now we can’t get our heads through! Darn, I thought we were set for a new escape route!

Friday – Dad took Isee somewhere. When they came back, she had this thing on her head. Mom says it is a cone, but it just looks ugly! I wonder how long this will last and if I am next! We all got to go out and bark at the chickens for a bit, it is always fun to do that!

Saturday & Easter Sunday – What a drab and boring weekend! It rained most of the weekend and we were not permitted to go play in it much.
